BGMI Air (formerly BGMI Lite) is the lightweight version of Battlegrounds Mobile India, developed for players who have limited storage and experience low FPS. Although the game supports up to 120 FPS, downloading HD resource packs, graphics, and icons is optional. This means that if you have limited storage, you can easily decide what to download and what to skip. Graphics and Gameplay

If you play the game without downloading the HD resource pack, you will notice that the graphics are low-quality, the building textures are blurry, and the edges are not sharp. This is due to the optimizations, but your character and the game will not lag or get stuck. Everything will run smoothly, and even in hot drops, you can easily win fights as long as you have good sensitivity settings. For low-end devices, the overall performance is acceptable. However, if you have a good device, you must download the extra graphics packs to improve the visual quality. Otherwise, you are likely to hate the graphics quality.

In the themed areas, the FPS remains stable at around 57-60 on 60 FPS devices, with similar performance on high and ultra settings. Your phone performs much better and generates less heat, while battery consumption is also reduced because extra skins, kill effects, upgradeable crates, and outfits are not included in the base game.

On large maps like Erangel, it might be slightly difficult to spot enemies from a distance without a scope because of the low rendering quality and textures. However, close-range fights can be chaotic. After downloading the base game, you can jump straight into Erangel without any additional downloads. This is one of the best features and my personal favorite because, in the main BGMI, you have to download 1.5 GB of resources before logging in and entering the lobby.

Do We Have to Transfer the ID?

No, this version supports cross-play with BGMI, so you do not have to transfer your ID to BGMI Air as you did when switching from PUBG Mobile to BGMI. All your items, skins, upgradeable guns, crates, popularity, coins, achievements, and progress will carry over. You can also easily invite and play with your BGMI friends without any hassle.
